Description

JAYCOCRETE SUPER is a high-performance polymer latex admixture formulated for use with cementitious mixes to produce flexible, waterproof renderings, screeds and patch repairs. When mixed with cement or cementitious mortars it improves adhesion, reduces permeability, increases flexural and tensile strength, and imparts enhanced durability to repaired and rendered surfaces. Suitable for interior and exterior applications, JAYCOCRETE SUPER is ideal for waterproof coatings, floor screeds, balconies, terraces, and large patch repairs.

Application Instructions

  • Surface Preparation:
    • Remove dust, loose material, oil and laitance. Expose sound substrate.
    • Dampen surface before priming; do not leave ponded water.
  • Bond / Primer Slurry:
    • Mix 1 part JAYCOCRETE SUPER with 1–2 parts clean water and blend with cement to form a creamy slurry (cement : slurry 1:1 by volume) and apply as bonding slurry to prepared substrate.
  • Render / Screed Mix:
    • Replace 10–20% of mixing water with JAYCOCRETE SUPER (adjust to achieve required workability). Typical mortar: 1 part cement : 3–6 parts sand (by volume) with latex dosage per project requirement.
    • For heavy-duty screeds or patches, use a stronger cement : sand ratio and higher latex dosage within recommended range.
  • Application:
    • Apply mortar while bonding slurry is still tacky. Compact and finish as required.
    • For renderings, build up in layers not exceeding recommended thickness per coat; allow initial set between coats.
  • Curing: Protect from rapid drying for at least 48 hours. Use wet curing or compatible curing compound.
  • Note: Trial mixes on site are recommended to determine exact mix proportions, workability and final properties for your specific materials and conditions.

Coverage Calculator

  • As bonding slurry: 1 L of mixed slurry covers approx. 4–6 m² (depends on substrate absorption).
  • As mortar modifier: Coverage depends on mortar mix and thickness — typical 20 L (latex) used in ~1–2 m³ of mortar at standard dosage (site trial recommended).

Suitable Applications

  • Waterproof renderings and cementitious coatings
  • Floor screeds, ramps and balconies
  • Large patch repairs and reinstatements
  • Bonding slurry between old and new concrete

Compatibility & Limitations

  • Compatible with Portland and blended cements and most standard aggregates.
  • Not suitable for use below 5°C or when substrate is frozen.
  • Not a direct substitute for structural reinforcement; use as an admixture/repair aid only.
  • Do not mix with solvent-based resins or incompatible chemicals without compatibility testing.

Safety & Handling

  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
  • Wash tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is used as a polymer latex admixture to produce waterproof renders, floor screeds and large patch repairs with improved adhesion and reduced permeability.

Mix JAYCOCRETE SUPER with water (typically 1:1 to 1:2 latex:water), blend with cement to form a creamy slurry and apply to the prepared substrate before mortaring.

Typical dosage is 10–20% of mixing water replaced by the latex (site trial recommended to finalise proportions).

Yes — suitable for both interior and exterior applications, provided temperatures and substrate conditions are appropriate.

It improves flexibility and reduces cracking risk, but does not replace structural reinforcement or correct movement issues.

It is compatible with Portland and blended cements; always perform a small site trial when using new materials.

Return-to-service times depend on mix and weather; typically allow 48–72 hours for light foot traffic and longer for heavy loads—confirm with on-site testing.

Yes — a bonding slurry made with JAYCOCRETE SUPER and cement is recommended to prime the substrate for best adhesion.

Keep in original sealed containers, stored in a cool, dry place away from frost and direct sunlight. Shelf life: 12 months.

Yes with precautions: avoid eye contact and prolonged skin exposure, wear gloves and eye protection, and wash hands/tools after use.
