Gyproc Standard Boards are premium plasterboards with a gypsum core and strong paper liners. They are designed for drylining walls and ceilings, offering consistent performance for general building needs, including normal fire resistance, structural support and acoustic requirements.
These boards are ideal for internal applications such as drywall partitions, false ceilings and flush plaster ceilings. They work well in areas where standard fire, structural and acoustic performance levels are required.
Gyproc offers both regular (STD) and moisture-resistant (MR) variants. The MR option is specifically designed for moderate-moisture environments such as kitchens and laundry areas, but not for continuous wet exposure.
They can be finished using Gyproc Fibre Tape or Gyproc Paper Tape along with Gyproc Jointing Compound. Once joints are complete and dry, the surface can be decorated directly with paint or wallpaper.
Gyproc Standard Boards comply with major international standards including BS 1230 Type 1, EN 520 Type A and ASTM C1396 Section 5, ensuring high quality, reliability and performance consistency across projects.
All Gyproc Standard Board variants come with a Tapered Edge (T/E) profile. This makes jointing easier and ensures a seamless finish when applying jointing compounds and tapes.
The boards come in 9 mm and 12 mm thickness options with widths of 1200 mm. Lengths vary from 2400 mm to 3000 mm, allowing flexibility for different room sizes and ceiling heights.
Yes, once jointing and finishing are complete, Gyproc Standard Boards are ready for direct decoration. They support paint, wallpaper and other interior finishing materials without additional surface treatment.
Gyproc Standard Boards are lightweight, easy to cut and simple to install using screws or adhesive systems. Their tapered edges help achieve a smooth finish, making them beginner-friendly and suitable for fast installation projects.
They are commonly used in residential, commercial and office projects for partition walls, false ceilings and lining systems. Their versatility and strong performance make them suitable for most general interior construction requirements.
